WestJet Hero Holiday, first community investment initiate
of WestJet, was introduced in April 2012 in partnership with Canadian charity
Live Differently. It was started with a 10 day trip to Puerto Plata, Dominican
Republic to build new houses for the families suffering extreme poverty. After
this trip three more Hero Holiday trips were arranged for building homes foe 15
deserving families. These trip also included providing local medical clinics,
basketball courts etc.
